About the Journal
The Journal of Kolkata Society for Asian Studies is a peer-reviewed, bilingual academic journal published by the Kolkata Society for Asian Studies since 2015. The journal aims to promote research and scholarship on Asian societies, cultures, histories, and contemporary social issues.
The journal publishes original theoretical and empirical research, research notes, field reports, book reviews, and thematic special issues. Its scope includes social science and related interdisciplinary fields, including anthropology, archaeology, folklore and culture, gender studies, linguistics, and other areas relevant to the study of Asian societies.
The journal follows a double-blind peer-review process to support scholarly quality and maintain the integrity of academic publication. It publishes contributions in English and Bangla and seeks to encourage academic exchange among researchers and scholars working on Asia, particularly South and Southeast Asia.

Aims and Scope
The journal seeks to advance academic research and encourage the exchange of ideas concerning Asian societies and their historical and contemporary experiences. It welcomes original and well-researched contributions that examine social, cultural, historical, linguistic, and related interdisciplinary questions.
